Starship Launch
SpaceX’s Starship is set to launch this month.
On Thursday, Elon posted photos of Starship stacked on a rocket booster. Then, on Sunday, he tweeted that Starship is ready to launch.
Starship is a reusable rocket capable of carrying 100 people and 100 tons of cargo per flight. It is expected to be the primary vehicle SpaceX uses to colonize Mars.
In 2021, SpaceX did four Starship test flights: SN9 crash landed, SN10 landed smoothly but exploded shortly after, SN11 exploded on the way down, and SN15 stuck the landing.
Since then, space aficionados have been waiting for another Starship flight. Now it appears to be just days away.
Elon has repeatedly hinted at a possible April 20th launch. On Monday, he said launch was “trending towards near the end of third week of April.”
Starship could change civilization by speeding up intercontinental travel, lowering the cost of access to space, and seeding humanity in the stars.
Keep an eye on this one—it’s gonna be big!

RFK Jr’s Presidential Campaign
Robert F. Kennedy Jr is running for President
Last Wednesday, Kennedy filed a statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Committee. He plans to challenge Joe Biden for the 2024 Democratic Party nomination
RFK Jr is known for calling out the way American corporations have infiltrated the federal government.
His crusade against agency capture started with the EPA, before moving to health regulators like the CDC and NIH. In recent years, he has became a vocal critic of the federal government’s response to Covid.
Kennedy has argued that the medical-industrial complex scuttled cheap early treatment options for Covid in order to justify granting emergency use authorization for novel mRNA vaccines, which generated tens of billions in profits.
He’s also taken aim at mainstream media, which he has called “an extension of the pharmaceutical industry.”
His book The Real Anthony Fauci enjoyed several weeks as a #1 bestseller despite library boycotts and blacklisting from mention by media outlets. The book was turned into documentary last year.
Last weekend, clips circulated on Twitter of Kennedy explaining his stance on vaccines, including one in which he argued the relationship between health regulators and pharmaceutical giants was “agency capture on steroids” and anotherwhere he linked vaccines to the rise in chronic diseases in American children. He also called out US government bioweapons programs.
Over the past few days, he has turned his attention to big money, using Twitter to highlight the influence of banks on government.
On Wednesay, he posted a long-form tweet about the dangers of a CBDC/digital dollar, warning that it could infringe on financial privacy and be “the first step in banning and seizing bitcoin as the Treasury did with gold 90 years ago.”
Monday, he posted another long-form tweet accusing the Biden administration of “colluding with the banksters” to attack crypto and keep people trapped in the government money system.
Together, the tweets instantly made him the most visible pro-crypto US Presidential candidate in history.
For his controversial views, RFK has attracted a steady stream of negative media attention.
No sooner did his campaign launch than it came under coordinated attack by the media, which accused him of running against Biden at the behest of Steve Bannon as a “chaos agent.” Kennedy said the claim was invented.
RFK is no stranger to controversy. He is routinely assailed by media as the black sheep of his family.
He has said of the attacks, “I feel like there is a cost, but I don’t feel like I have anything to complain about. We’re all given a job to do and that having a difficult life or having these challenges is ultimately a gift.”
In 2023, the most important question for any public figure is not whether they’re left or right, but where they stand in relation to the political and media establishment. Kennedy, like Trump and Elon, stands firmly opposed to it. For that reason alone, RFK’s campaign is worth watching closely.
Substack Beef
Twitter and Substack are beefing.
It started last Wednesday when Substack announced the creation of a Twitter clone called Substack Notes.
Two days later, links to Substack started being throttled on Twitter: users lost the ability to interact with any post containing a Substack URL.
The beef spilled into the relationship with Elon and Twitter Files journalist Matt Taibbi, who publicly left Twitter after learning about the throttling.
Elon responded to Taibbi’s claims by stating that links to Substack weren’t blocked. He also explained Twitter’s reason for throttling Substack posts.
Later that day, Twitter removed restrictions on Substack-linked posts. Substack’s Twitter handle acknowledged the change.
Two days later, Elon reiterated his accusation that Substack attempted to steal Twitter’s data.
The dust seems to have settled for now, but the two companies will probably cross paths again.
Twitter is expected to roll out its own long-form platform to compete with Substack. It may also try to acquire Substack at some point.
Whatever happens, hopefully attention returns to the amazing independent journalism happening on both platforms.
Elon Roasts BBC
Late night, Elon did a Twitter spaces interview with a tech reporter from the BBC.
The reporter asked him about hate speech on Twitter. His response was priceless:

US Politics
A NY Post article went viral claiming that the son of financier George Soros has visited the Biden White House fourteen times. Soros has been a frequent topic online recently, first for his campaign funding of the Manhattan DA behind Trump’s indictment, and more recently for funding Austin Texas DA behind the conviction of an Uber driver attacked during BLM riots in 2020. Elon weighed in, tweeting, “I am told that his son is de facto in charge” and said “ivory tower pseudointellectualism is probably to blame” for Soros’ efforts to make America unlivable. In other tweets, he said, “I don’t understand his goal”, inquired about Soros’ motivations for donating so much money, and agreed that it’s bizarre for Soros critics to be called racist “for daring to notice his role in elections.”
