Starship Launch
SpaceX’s Starship is set to launch this month.
On Thursday, Elon posted photos of Starship stacked on a rocket booster. Then, on Sunday, he tweeted that Starship is ready to launch.
Starship is a reusable rocket capable of carrying 100 people and 100 tons of cargo per flight. It is expected to be the primary vehicle SpaceX uses to colonize Mars.
In 2021, SpaceX did four Starship test flights: SN9 crash landed, SN10 landed smoothly but exploded shortly after, SN11 exploded on the way down, and SN15 stuck the landing.
Since then, space aficionados have been waiting for another Starship flight. Now it appears to be just days away.
Elon has repeatedly hinted at a possible April 20th launch. On Monday, he said launch was “trending towards near the end of third week of April.”
Starship could change civilization by speeding up intercontinental travel, lowering the cost of access to space, and seeding humanity in the stars.
Keep an eye on this one—it’s gonna be big!
