Hey everyone,
Cybertruck is coming.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that the Cybertruck is Tesla’s most anticipated vehicle ever.
This week’s newsletter looks at a bombshell discovery on Tesla’s website involving Cybertruck and Dogecoin.
Let’s dive in!
Get your Dogecoin ready: Cybertruck is coming.
Last week, Dogecoin developer inevitable360 discovered something fascinating about the code in Tesla’s Cybertruck webpage.
The code included the phrase “Dogecoin” in multiple places. In some cases, Doge was placed alongside other payment options like credit card and Apple Pay 👀👀
The fate of Dogecoin and the Cybertruck have been intertwined for a while.
When Elon made his Doge-heavy SNL appearance SNL in 2021, a Cybertruck prototype drove around NYC as a promotion.
A few days later, Elon tweeted a poll asking if Tesla should accept Dogecoin. It received three million “Yes” votes.
Dogecoin and Cybetruck crossed paths again at the start of 2022, when Tesla began offering select merchandise payable with Doge. One of the items was a “Cyberwhistle” modeled after the truck.
Today, Tesla has an entire FAQ on its website devoted to Dogecoin, included the mic-drop line, “Tesla only accepts Dogecoin.”
The connections between Cybertruck and Doge go deeper.
This newsletter has speculated that blockchain technology like Dogecoin could be a gift from extraterrestrials. There is even a Big3 basketball team called the Aliens sponsored by the DogeArmy.
Similarly, Elon has said the Cybertruck “looks like it was made by aliens from the future.”
Tesla is expected to start delivering Cybertrucks in Q3 of this year—so sometime in the next three months.
The hype is building. Over the weekend, Cybertruck trended with thousands of tweets.
As Cybertruck draws nearer, sightings have become more common, including one with a camouflage vinyl wrap.
The third-party add-ons for Cybertruck are already looking insane. We can only hope that someone creates a Dogecoin-themed skin.
The bigger question is if Tesla will launch Dogecoin payments for vehicles in time for Cybertruck’s release, and, if it does, what will happen to the price of Doge.
Cybertruck is expected to start at $40k.
Dogecoin is currently trading at six cents. 40,000 Dogecoins can be had for about $2500.
So what do you think: is the meme destined to become reality? Will Tesla accept Dogecoin in time for the Cybertruck release?
